Core
Carbons is a specially built plant, using the best available technical
innovation in steam activation by rotary system. This will allow
the company the flexibility to meet customer's specifications.
|
The
control over our own Raw Material ensure us supply of high
quality shell charcoal which is 100% free of sand and other
impurities. Hence our carbon has an edge over the other manufacturers
on the raw material since our quality starts with coconut
shells.
|
|
|
Our
Carbon goes through stringent quality control procedures that are
carried out in our own well equipped laboratory which trouble shoots
24 hours a day to keep production on target. Every 25 Kgs /50 Kgs
of the product is analysed at Ex Kiln and Ex Screeners stages respectively.
|
All
shipments of our Carbons will be accompanied by a Quality Control
Analysis report certified by a chemist on PSD, Moisture Content,
Bulk Density, CTC adsorption, Hardness No., Ash Content, etc.
|
Samples
of activated carbon are constantly sent to our laboratory for quality
control tests in accordance to the American Standards and Testing
Materials (ASTM). We are proud to mention that the quality of
our product is much superior to most activated carbon available
in the market.
|
 |
|
 |
Core
Carbon's plant and process were designed and developed
to international standards. The complex activation reaction
is executed in independent furnaces, which operate 24 hours
x 365 days. These require over riding operative vigilance,
to ensure consistency of the product, in a process often referred
to as more an art than a science.
|
|
The
Quality Control and R&D Laboratory work in tandem with
activation whilst all ancillary processes are intentionally
over capacitated, and cope with an 8 hour day operation.
The Quality Control Laboratory works 24 hours a day
on 3 shifts manned by qualified and dedicated personnel. QC
staff from Corecarbons visit the carbonising sites regularly
and troubleshoot to make certain the required quality specifications
are maintained.
Sampling and testing is programmed in such a manner that troubleshooting
is done at all stages of the process. 24 hours feedback from
the QC department ensures a Quality product.
